übersetzt "vor Ort geformte Flanschdichtung": die Dichtung trocknet nach der Montage.Bei der frei aufgetragenen Dichtung als Nassverbau erfolgt ein Auftragen der Dichtmasse erfolgt vor dem Verbau und vor der Vulkanisation; die Dichtigkeit wird ohne zusätzliche Verpressung drucklos erlangt. Die Dichtmasse haftet nach der Vulkanisation auf beiden Seiten der abzudichtenden Bauteile.

Formed-In-Place-Gasket
In the case of a freely applied gasket for wet installation, the sealing compound is applied before installation and before vulcanization; the seal is achieved without pressure and without additional pressing. After vulcanization, the sealant adheres to both sides of the components to be sealed.
