Forest Stewardship Council
ist eine internationale Organisation für Firmen und andere Interessenten, die gemeinsamPrinzipen für eine behutsame Waldwirtschaft ausgearbeitet haben. Diese internationalen Prinzipen bilden die Grundlage länderspezifisch angepasster Waldpflegevorschriften. Die Zertifizierung nach FSC ist die Gewähr, dass der Wald unter Umwelt-, sozialen und wirtschaftlichen Gesichtspunkten nachhaltig genutzt wird. Nachhaltige Forstwirtschaft schützt die biologische Vielfalt und akzeptiert keinen Raubbau und nimmt Rücksicht auf die Belange der ursprünglichen und lokalen Bevölkerung sowie der Waldarbeiter.
Forest Stewardship Council
is an international organization for companies and other interested parties who have jointly developed principles for careful forest management. These international principles form the basis for country-specific forest management regulations. FSC certification is the guarantee that the forest is used in a sustainable manner with regard to environmental, social and economic aspects. Sustainable forest management protects biological diversity and does not accept any overexploitation and takes into account the interests of the original and local population as well as the forest workers.
