PPAP Level 1

Produktionsteil-Freigabeprozess Stufe 1

PPAP (Serienteilfreigabe) bzw.

Production Part Approval Process Level 1

"PPAP (Production Part Approval) or PPF (Production Process and Product Release) is a process in which serial parts are sampled before the start of series production. This procedure originates from the automotive industry, where the main focus is on the quality of the delivered parts - this means that the parts from the series tools or series processes must correspond to the drawings. There is a classification according to different levels (presentation levels) of sampling. PPAP has 5 submission levels (PPF has 4 submission levels).PPAP Level 1: Only the Part Submission Warrant (PSW) is presented to the customer. This is also referred to as "cover sheet sampling". Important: If problems occur later on, the supplier must have additional documents to document the change according to the drawing.
