übersetzt mit "Auto am Ende des Lebenszyklus" (Altauto). Dazu gibt es die Richtlinie 2000/53/EG des Europäischen Parlaments und des Rates vom 18. September 2000 über Altfahrzeuge. Diese regelt die stoffliche Verwertung von Kraftfahrzeugen durch Recycling innerhalb der Europäischen Union (EU). Sie enthält u. a. ab dem 1. Juli 2003 geltende Stoffverbote, beispielsweise für Schwermetalle und Chrom (VI). Die deutsche Umsetzung der Richtlinie ist am 1. Juli 2002 durch die Altfahrzeugverordnung erfolgt.Siehe auch: IMDS (International Material Data System) - Dieses System fasst alle umweltrelevanten Informationen in der Lieferkette zusammen. In der Art eines Baumes mit seinen Verästelungen haben die Lieferanten (Zweige, Äste) alle Materialdaten z. B. wie Zusammensetzung und Aufbau von Bauteilen (Blätter) an den Fahrzeughersteller (Stamm) zu melden.
End-of-Life Vehicle
