Fit and Function (KPC)
Passung und Funktion: Dabei handelt es sich um ein so genanntes Schlüsselproduktmerkmal, das bei GM / Opel in den Konstruktionszeichnungen verwendet wird. Dieses Merkmal gibt einen Hinweis darauf, dass bei einer möglichen Abweichung entweder die Passung von Teilen zueinander nicht optimal ist bzw. dass die Funktion von Teilen eingeschränkt sein könnte. Solche Merkmale werden vor allem dann verwendet, wenn sich der Endkunde gestört fühlen könnte, selbst wenn alle beteiligten Teile noch innerhalb der Zeichnungstoleranzen liegen sollten. Soll heißen: Alles funktioniert eigentlich, sieht aber einfach nicht schön aus (Spaltmaße) oder führt zum Beispiel zu Geräuschen oder anderem Missfallen beim Endkunden.

Fit and function: This is a so-called key product feature that is used in the design drawings at GM / Opel. This feature gives an indication that in the event of a possible deviation, either the fit of parts to each other is not optimal or the function of parts could be restricted. Such features are mainly used when the end customer might feel disturbed, even if all parts involved should still be within the drawing tolerances. This means that everything actually works, but simply does not look nice (gap dimensions) or leads to noise or other displeasure on the part of the end customer.
